Celebrating Wins with Cross Training Football

Cross Training Football recently sent in this update and we wanted to invite you to join with us in the wins this ministry partner is celebrating.

Praise the Lord for a great spring season. We saw salvations, we visited more athletes and campuses than ever this spring, and God opened the door to the Buffalo State Football Program. God is so good. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your prayers and financial support.

It is with praise and grateful hearts to Jesus Christ that we share the following letter from a senior who CTF had the opportunity to share with throughout high school. Influencing others with truth is the vision of CTF. We believe lives will be prepared to receive the gospel as we simply share life-giving principles from God’s Word.

Dear Coach Masters,

I would like to take this time to thank you for all you have done for me. I have listened to your talks since I was a freshman. I now consider you a friend as well as a coach. You have always been there for me, both through the tough times of last year and the great times of this year.

The lessons you gave to me in your speeches are unbelievable. I have made mistakes and it always seems like whenever you talk, you have the answers I need. I never expected when you first started coming to our practices that you would have had this big of an impact on me. The confidence I have on the baseball field now, is mostly because of you. You helped me through a tough season last year with not playing, and then again when my grandpa passed away. You told me to always keep my head and work hard and something good will come. Well it did, I won a starting role this year and I can honestly say you helped me with that. Your talks stretch far beyond the baseball field. You have helped me become a better man off the field as well. I have used your talks in my relationship with my girlfriend, at home, and in the classroom. I will not forget your talks when I go to college and whatever comes after college.

Thank you, Coach Masters, without you I would not be the person I am today. I will always think back to your talks when things get hard. I will not hesitate to come to you for advice either.

P.S. You have always showed me how to stay faithful. You have also talked about your faith and that is something that I really believe I need in my life. I appreciate you helping me realize that.

The man who coached this young man’s team received the ministry of CTF with much enthusiasm; he recently prayed to receive Jesus after doing an interview on the radio show. It is our desire to be servants, through whom people come to believe. The Lord assigns each of us our tasks. I encourage you to bring what He has put in your hands to be a blessing to others.
