Cross Training Athletics Update

by Coach Mike Masters

God is moving at Cross Training Athletics and we are overjoyed to see the work of His hand. In two mini football camps at the Bills Fieldhouse for athletes in grades 7-12, we saw more than 100 young men stand and say, “I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead.” They prayed a prayer of repentance out loud on their feet at the 50 yard line of the field house. At the three-day Ultimate Football Tournament for athletes in grades 4-6, about 25 kids prayed to ask Christ to come into their lives and be their friend.  To Christ is the Glory!

We also wanted to share a testimony from one of our character coaches who works with girls’ basketball in Newfane and her husband coaches the football team.

Hey Coach,

“I just wanted to give you a little update on Newfane’s squad. There are so many praises. God is at work in the hearts and lives of these girls. Two of Kevin’s players came to church with us last week. I’ve been meeting with these girls throughout the season and they ask awesome questions and they are searching. They loved character building and we have had a blast with these kids this year. Kevin does an end-of-the-year survey and every kid said their favorite part of the season was team bonding and character talks! Praise God! Thank you so much for the opportunity to work with you and your team to reach these athletes for Christ! I’ve been so blessed. Our whole family has been blessed!”
