Kingdom Come Weekend | October 18-19, 2014

By Pastor Daryl Largis

An exciting event is coming this fall. In fact, it will be the eighth such occasion hosted by The Chapel. It is Kingdom Come Weekend! This is a weekend you might be familiar with where many, if not most, of our ministry partners visit The Chapel. This gives all those who call The Chapel home an opportunity to meet, discuss, dream, and celebrate with our partners in relation to what God is doing in and through them wherever they are located be it local, regional, national or global. The particular Sunday in question is October 19, so, you do not want to miss it! We will be celebrating this at our CrossPoint Campus and our Lockport Campus. In addition, we will be releasing a new edition of “On Mission” which is our annual publication depicting some of the incredible God stories from the previous year as well as giving you insight into who and where we are partnering for the sake of gospel. All great stuff for sure!

However, there is something different we are doing this year. Associated with this weekend, we have in the past hosted a dinner for our partners on the Saturday night prior to Kingdom Come Sunday. The purpose of this dinner was simply for us to recognize our partners, say thank you in a tangible way, and allow them to connect to other partners which has been fantastic, so much so, we want to expand this potential. Imagine if you will, having dinner with a partner from Haiti, a partner from Scranton, and a partner from Niagara Falls or even one from Amherst. That would be a fascinating dinner for sure or at least it would be in my mind! So, here is what we are going to do. There will be a limited number of tickets for you and other Chapel family members to purchase for this year’s banquet. They will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis and will be reasonably priced at around $10 per person. Again, there will be a limited number of tickets available so they will go quickly. Just think of having direct access to several of our partners over some great food. You will be able to hear first-hand what God is doing in and through them as well as how The Chapel has partnered with them during the previous year, and what they are planning in the upcoming year. The tickets are not on sale as of yet but will be in the near future. When they become available we will announce it here as well as on Sunday and in the worship folder. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to have dinner with our ministry partners. You will be surely blessed by the conversation as will our partners.
