On April 25, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck the country of Nepal killing more than 7,750 people, injuring even more, and leaving others homeless, destitute, and grieving the loss of their loved ones. In and around the capital city of Kathmandu, damage was worse in the historic old city areas, poor neighborhoods, and outlying villages.
At this time, Kingdom Come is helping to support two ministries offering relief ministry to individuals and families devastated from the earthquake. They are requesting prayer support from our Chapel family as they offer food, medicine, comfort, and more.
One family in particular is that of Pastor Eliya Gali, who was killed in the earthquake while leading his congregation in worship Saturday morning. (Seventeen brothers and sisters in Christ were also lost at that time.) Pastor Gali’s wife survived with injuries, and of their three children, one is missing and another fighting for his life.
Please keep the people of Nepal and those serving the earthquake survivors in prayer as the recovery and rebuilding process begins.
